Privacy & Ordering Policy.

Bytes of Joy is a home cloud-kitchen bakery run from New Bowenpally, Hyderabad, Telangana. Everything on the menu is baked in small batches, strictly to order, and sold through this website and our Instagram page. There is no storefront.

For anything in this document, you can reach the baker directly. Contact details are in section 15.

This policy covers orders and enquiries made through this website, and through our Instagram and WhatsApp chats. It does not cover the platforms themselves: Instagram, WhatsApp and our delivery partners each have their own privacy policies that apply to how they handle your messages and location data.

We only ask for what a bakery genuinely needs to get a box to your door:

What we never collect:

• No accounts and no passwords. You order as a guest, every time.
• No card or UPI credentials. Payment happens on delivery or directly over UPI, never through a form on this site.
• No advertising trackers, analytics profiles or marketing cookies.

• To bake, pack and fulfil the order you placed.
• To arrange delivery to the address you gave us.
• To contact you about that order (confirmation, payment, delivery updates) on WhatsApp or by phone.
• To keep simple sales records for the kitchen’s books.

We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or add you to any marketing list. If we ever want to message you about anything other than your order, we will ask first.

• The delivery rider. Deliveries mostly go out with Rapido. The rider receives your name, phone number and delivery address, and nothing else.
• The services that run this website. Order records are stored in a secure hosted database, and an email service notifies the baker when an order arrives. These providers process the data only to run the site for us.
• Nobody else, unless the law requires it.

• Everything you type at checkout travels over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection.
• The order database is locked down so it cannot be read from the browser; only the baker’s password-protected admin dashboard can see orders.
• Your cart lives only in your own browser until the moment you place the order (see section 9).

Order records are kept as the kitchen’s sales history and for basic accounting. Chats stay wherever you sent them, on Instagram or WhatsApp. If you want your details removed, ask us (section 15) and we will delete them, unless a record has to be kept to meet a legal or tax obligation.

In line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us at any time to:

• tell you what information we hold about you;
• correct anything that is wrong; or
• delete your details from our records.

One WhatsApp message is enough. No forms, no waiting periods beyond what it genuinely takes to do it.

This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. Two small pieces of storage exist, both functional:

• Your cart is saved in your browser’s local storage so your box survives a page refresh. It never leaves your device until you place the order.
• An admin login cookie exists only for the baker’s own dashboard. Customers never receive it.

Every item is baked fresh against your order; nothing sits on a shelf. Because of that, orders must reach us at least one day (24 hours) before you want them. If you want your box today, we needed your order yesterday.

We confirm every order on WhatsApp before baking begins. An order is final once we have confirmed it.

Once an order is placed, it cannot be cancelled. Ingredients are bought and batches are planned around each order, so a cancelled box is a wasted bake.

• Made a mistake in your order? Message us immediately (section 15). If baking has not started, we will do our best to fix it.
• If something arrives wrong or damaged, tell us the same day with a photo and we will make it right.

• Deliveries go out mostly with Rapido riders across our listed Hyderabad areas.
• Your box is delivered after 24 hours, not the same day. We send delivery updates on WhatsApp, including if your order happens to head out sooner.
• The delivery fee depends on your area (from ₹40) and is shown at checkout before you place the order; the final charge can vary with the actual Rapido fare and is confirmed at dispatch. Orders of ₹999 or more deliver free to any listed area.
• Pickup from our kitchen in New Bowenpally is always free. Choose it at checkout.
• Payment is settled on delivery or by UPI when we confirm your order on WhatsApp. This website never handles the payment itself.

Orders should be placed by an adult, or with an adult’s help. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If our practices change (a new delivery partner, a new payment method), this page will be updated with a new version number and effective date. The version that is live when you place an order is the one that applies to it.
